For one of our clients: an enterprising bank, we are currently seeking for an experienced Application Manager.
Join them, and start supporting the digital transformation of their retail banking IT department.
Team
As Application Manager you are part of a multidisciplinary team which several competences are present, like Application Managers, Business Analysts, BI consultants, Administrators, Engineers, etc.
Within this team the Application Managers are responsible for the continuity and development of the applications within the bank. You make sure all applications run flawless and prevent issues or solve them quick. And you continuously improve their IT-‐landscape by innovation-‐projects and changes.
You will make their small, dedicated team stronger. Your manager steers on your advice, and you act as a sparring partner and specialist for all competences in the team. You have the knowledge and experience to help the team and IT department forward.
Responsibilities
As an Application Manager you are responsible for an adequate, functional and stable application landscape for customers and employees. You are responsible for the life cycle management of all applications that fall under your care. You do this from a complete end-‐to-‐end perspective with all relevant stakeholders in the Retail Banking value chain.
You guarantee the quality and continuity of your own IT business services by primarily preventing incidents and, secondarily, resolving the incidents as quickly and effectively as possible. You are (partly) responsible for -or participate in- the relevant IT changes/projects as well as for the final acceptance of these changes/projects on your IT systems.
This requires close cooperation within the team and with the other IT teams, like IT Finance & Risk and IT Architecture.
Qualifications
- You operate on an HBO level –with focus on IT
- You have at least 5 years work experience on managing multiple applications including full responsibility for lifecycle management
- You love to solve incidents and make sure they don’t happen again
- You keep cool in stressful times
- You are solution oriented and strive to get the best results
- You are capable of coaching and helping colleagues on behavior as well as content
- You are experienced in working in Agile/Scrum/DevOps teams
