For one of our clients: an enterprising bank, we are currently seeking for an experienced Business Architect.
Join them, and start supporting the digital transformation of their Corporate, Retail or Finance & Risk banking IT department.
Team
The Business Architect collaborates with the Enterprise Architect, Solution Architects, IT Digital Strategy team, Business Analysts, Business Unit Heads and Change Leads.
Responsibilities
As a Business Architect you will be responsible for aligning strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services, partners and suppliers, organization, capabilities and key business and IT initiatives/processes.
You will offer an organized and repeatable approach that ensures the above is translated into the (IT) architecture, for instance by developing business capability maps and value streams.
Your playing field covers all business lines and grids within the bank. You will be seen as a thought leader and bring expertise and vision (from inside and outside the bank) to the business lines.
Your core responsibilities:
- Develop a business architecture strategy for the business units with a full alignment with IT Digital Strategy team
- Define, update and refine relevant parts of the Business Capability Roadmap
- Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes
- Enumerate, analyze, and suggest improvements to the structural relationships of the business. This requires the creation and maintenance of an ongoing model of roles, capabilities and business units
- Describe the primary business functions of the assigned business unit in the context of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions
- Work on architectural deliverables with the architecture team and Business Analysts for different projects and initiatives
- Lead the process modelling Center of Expertise and coach the Business Analysts
Qualifications
- General Banking knowledge (core Banking value chains and business processes)
- Certified in one or more Architecture Frameworks, such as TOGAF
- Knowledge of and experience in ArchiMate
- Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques (BPMN 2.0 and LEAN SIX SIGMA)
- The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
- The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
- The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and work flow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery
- Fluent in Dutch and English (our corporate language)
