For the next steps in growth and development, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Android developer with knowledge of payments on Android based terminals.

You will play a crucial role within the organization to make their current, as well as new products ready for the future!

Responsibilities

• Will need to operate throughout the entire organization and understand how you and your contributions fit into the bigger picture of the organization and of our customers 
• Align solutions with standards, security, compliance and the business stakeholders 
• Ensure the new functionality is implemented according to plan, minimizing technical debt and complexity 
• Actively participate in documenting functionality, and providing demos and up to date documentation manuals to stakeholders  
• Support your team and lead by example when pressure rises, and overtime is required 
• Pro-actively collaborate with the enterprise architect and other software engineers and research new opportunities to make steps towards realizing our vision for the future 
• Apply best practices, principles, design patterns, code hygiene and leading by example

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 
• Ability to translate highly technical information into business terminology 
• Proven track record and proficiency in Android software development, with at least 6 years experience, of which at least 2 years in a senior role 
• Experience with Android based payment terminals is preferred
• Experience and thorough understanding of (test) automation, continuous delivery, deployment tools and pipelines. 
• You are a builder, not only from software engineering point of view but also in the organizational sense as we are transitioning the company to the next level and need your help to get us there
• Strong interest and vision in recent trends in mobile software development and technology in general 
• Experience with working in multidisciplinary teams and agile way of working
